Blu-Ray is a superior and outstanding 1080p high definition (HD) quality movie which has 25 gigabyte or 50 gigabyte storage capacity discs. It means that there will be extras on the discs such as, behind scenes, delete scenes, commentary, etc. HDTV are required to watch Blu-Ray (720,1080i and 1080p) the Blu-Ray discs have a special resistant to scratches and fingerprints, it offers 6 times the resolutions of the details in picture and lossless audio quality.
All discs have subtitles and closed captioned features. Blu-Ray uses blue laser which is superior to HD-DVD discs. The HD-DVD format is dying. I use my Sony Playstation 3 to play my Blu-Ray movie collection. The discs are range from $19.99 to $150 and it is worth spending that amount of money.
