Exclamation Anybody ever read this?

While perusing to further my knowledge, I ran into this some time ago.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra_high_def

If that is the future - Wow. I will need 24 speakers.

Hey, I called it Ultra HD first! Didn't I? About to read the article.

While the resolution is incredible, what can support it? The lag from switching channels would be about 10 seconds. Why? That is ONE FRIKKEN LONG airwave to read!

I still see 1440p as having more of a future.

yeah i was reading up about this too. they say it's not going to be around until something like 2025 and the media for this weighs like 250lbs. One of my first posts is about this.

they say HD looks like you're actually watching it
but ultra HD looks like you're part of the scene.
They're probably (for the time being) only going to use it for museums and such.

Oh I can only imagine this being several years away, probably more than that even.

It'll be real real life experience. Sheesh.
