Why spend $900 now and $1200 later when you can spend $1500 now and get a TV that will last that much longer before you want to upgrade again? 3 TVs over the span of 10 years will most likely cost you more than 1 TV that will last you 10 years. I am a firm believer in futureproofing. Think long term, not short term and I think that you will be surprised at what conclusion you will come up with.

The reasons i went with 32" was great size for a bedroom, correct me if i'm wrong but 32" and smaller don't really require 1080P b/c of the size??

32" may not require 1080p but if you ever want to hook up your laptop to it you'll wish you have a /p and not an /i. If I were looking for a 32" TV I would look for 720p or 1080p. Interlaced images were so early 1990's.

That is true. But, my own opinion is that when it comes to Hi-Def, I (being my own personal opinion) will not settle for anything less than the best. That is why I would go with the 40" 1080p for the bedroom. LOL! After all, what better way to fall asleep than with a wall of film image as the only thing you can see while gunshots & explosions rattle the bedposts & mattress? (Oh yeah, and I would get a killer surround system with the biggest and most powerful subwoofer to place directly under the bed... maybe even have the sub support the mattress in the middle?!?!?!) LMAO!!!

I do have to apologize though. My original post came across rather dictatorially. I was by no means telling you that it was the only option. I was just offering my perspective when it comes to your particular situation.

in all honesty... The size of the TV in the bedroom doesnt mean much to me... A 32" 720p is perfect... in my eyes, is fine for the bedroom watching tv. How much time do you actually spend watching flicks in your bedroom. I can think of better things to do in there. Had you said you purchased this for home theatre... I probably would have been concerned
