Default PS3 DVD/CD lens cleaner?

Can I use a regular DVD/CD cleaner on my PS3 or is there a special DISC I need since it has a blu-ray drive?

I spoke to someone on the customer service line at Sony and they said that a regular cleaning disc is perfectly safe to use.

Use one of these at your own risk. The lens assembly is more complex than a normal DVD/CD assembly, although it should work I think waiting until a number others (members of other forums etc) have experimented and reported success would be a good idea. I think the best advice at the moment is - if the device is giving problems take it to an appropriate service centre and the best advice -
IF IT AIN'T BROKE - DON'T FIX IT!

I double checked wuth SONY and they said it it safe to use a regular DVD lens cleaner. I tried it and was afraid but my PS3 still works fine so I guess its safe. Thanks everyone!

regular DVD lens cleaner are the ones with little bristles on a little section of the DVD right? Because that's what I had for my DVD lens cleaner. But since the blu-ray lens is so close to the disc wouldn't that actually harm the lens than do good?

Sony said it would be safe. So far my PS3 is working great. I have been watching movies since I got it November of 2006. I figured it needed a cleaning.
