Default Is it unseasonably warm where you live right now??

I live in the southeast and yesterday we had a record high of 76 degrees! Plus it's supposed to be in the 70's through Wednesday! THIS IS DECEMBER!!! I was at the mall yesterday and there were people there in shorts and flip flops! That's so wierd! It's not like I live in Miami or southern California. The average temp here for this time of year is somewhere between mid 30's and upper 40's. Don't tell me global warming is a farse!

I must say this absolutely sucks during the Christmas season! It's hard to be in any kind of Christmas mood when it feels like spring time.

Sorry the 2 inch layer of ice i had to chisel off my car this morning would very much disagree with your global warming theory! We are seeing some of the coldest december weather in our area in years!

Yeah, we're experiencing a bad case of global warming in Oklahoma today.

We were doomed for another Ice Age back in the 70's and now we're doomed for global warming now.

Anyways, here in the Midwest it's pretty dang cold with ice storms and the rest of it.

We're doomed!

its cold as hell in socal right now. that is, cold as hell for socal. it was 40 degrees this morning and is still hovering under 50 at my work. I hate it. I don't pay the outrageous real estate and gas prices to deal with being cold. eathquakes I can handle.

Or we can play the same card when it comes to record cold temperatures in the summer time. Does that mean that Global Cooling exists? See circa 70's when the new hotness being reported by the media was global cooling and the pending new ice age, again do to 'human' activities and fossil fuels.

It's the same bullcrap, different reason.

Besides, the coldest months of the year for the Northern Hemisphere are January-March, not November and December. This is when due to the tilt of Earth and that the Northern Hemisphere is 'furthest' from the sun. Autumn which you are still in officially, is the time of wildly changing temperatures. Highs of 70 and then dropping to 10 or 0 in the same day is common in many parts of the nation, especially Colorado. Winter does not begin until December 21st, or the Equinox.. whichever you prefer.

Now one thing I will admit is that Earth is a dynamic ball of rock. If you believe our scientists, for much of it's long life Earth has NOT had polar ice caps. Also Earth does NOT have a perfectly circular orbit (that title belongs to Jupiter) as some years we are closer to the Sun others further. The Sun does not have an stable amount of energy being output, some times it's brighter and warmer, other times cooler. These things fluctuate and change over time, so get rid of any notion you have of 'stability' on a Solar scale. It simply does not exist, and that is the falicy of all these global warming arguments.

I'll believe global warming is mankind caused the second a somebody backing this theory can explain to me how the Ice Caps shrinking on Mars, and the average temperature of Mar's surface have gone up due to human activities. Until then, they earn the Epic Fail award.

6 below zero (F) this morning with about 18 inches of the white stuff on the ground. My house has impressive passive solar heating, though, and I have to open windows on sunny days like today to keep the indoor temp below 80F.

Clearly it is the carbon emissions put out by the Mars Rovers ....

My global warming remark was tongue-in-cheek. I did not mean to stir up any debates on the subject. I just found out the recent record high here for yesterday was 71 degrees (F) and it was in 1971. A record was also set for my area this past summer for the number of consecutive days of 100+ degree temperature.

75 in Birmingham right now. Supposed to be 79/80 tomorrow, which would break a record, I believe.

I hate this

haha! Yes. Also don't forget those rovers drilling a few inches into occasonal rocks clearly have been the direct cause of increasingly high average temperatures on Mar's surface by releasing locked co2!

The quicker everyone realizes that one of the greatest hoaxes of this century is man caused Global Warming, the better. I bring you our friend, Mr Gore who recently was paid over $6000 per minute for a global warming speech...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...=1766&ito=1490

Add in the gobs of money thrown to various groups, and governmental backing.. it becomes big business rather quickly. Any skeptism shown by this, and grants/money is yanked. What would you do if your paycheck was linked to that?

The only excessive hot air around is the lies being spewed by these types of people. It pays, obviously.

It's about 77 degrees down here in Central Florida. Ugh, usually at this time we get some nice cold fronts dipping down here and some nice nippy weather...but we haven't and it feels like summer...ugh!

I would welcome some nice cold air right about now.
