I used to keep all of my DVDs in the cases/slips they came with and stored them spines out and in alphabetical order on shelves. Then I got bit by the Blu-ray bug after seeing the difference in both audio and video. Massive upgrade and sell off of around 95% of my DVD collection ensued as I got them on Blu.
So after awhile the space was getting very low and I decided to order a supply of extra 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10-disc Viva Elite Blu-ray cases and free up much needed space by putting any sequels/prequels all in the same multi-disc case with the artwork (and slip cover if it is a 2-4-disc case) of the original movie. This freed up a ton of room and makes it nice and easy if you want to have a movie marathon of a franchise. I use a different case if they have a remake/reboot. Does anyone else do something like this to save space in their collection? Other ideas? |
