PS3 Hard drive enclosure problem - Blu-ray Forum

I picked up a enclosure for my 60GB PS3 hard drive that i took out and replaced with a 160Gb one. When i tried putting the hard drive into the enclosure I noticed the enclosure was of the pin type. Where can I get a enclosure that will fit a PS3 stock hard drive for under $20?

No worries, you can find cheap ones on places like New Egg and Tiger Direct. Got mine from Tiger for 24 shipped just search for SATA USB HDD enclosure.

Which one did you get? Does it matter if its eSATA or do I need just SATA?

You have to use two USB ports to get it to power up with a PS3 but it works fine and looks nice. It isn't less than twenty bucks but I really like the looks

It has to be SATA 2.5 inch

If all you're gonna use to hook the drive up with is USB you're not gonna need the eSATA interface. As long as the enclosure itself uses SATA internally as opposed to IDE it should be fine.
