I dig this silly movie, yet I've been able to hold out since 2008 (I always suspected a deluxe edition was right around the corner).

Won't be waiting much longer -- May 3rd is not far.

I love the finale of this, once it hits July 4th it is really entertaining, but you have to sit through July 1st I believe to 3rd and if memory serves me at least one of the days is just a drag. I had it on DVD and I have it on Blu-ray I will probably get this but it will have to be cheaper. The score is quite frankly one of the best if not the best I have ever heard in my life.

Just watched it on my Sammy uhd 4k player to Sony 55x850c and looks stunning upscaled to 4k.

Definitely getting this, even if I don't have a 4k set yet lol. My wife and I went to see this in the theater on our honeymoon!!

Fun movie, though I'll admit it's lost a fair share of its luster in the 20 years since its release. I say that mainly because there have been far too many "world under attack from aliens" movies to the point of burnout.

I have seen many movies like that, but for some reason I remember very few if not only one

This could very well be my second UHD purchase (already have The Martian). Glad I never bought the BD (still have the special edition DVD).
