Would you buy the Angel TV show on Blu-ray? - Blu-ray Forum

This is my favorite TV show of all time! Maybe the series was inconsistent but the best episodes of this show are not rivaled by any other IMO. Great dialogue and great action! Unfortunately the DVD set does not do the show justice with up-converting.

I do realize however that my opinion is not shared by everyone. So I wanna see who would actually buy the show.

PS: and to those who have never seen it or have only seen a handful of episodes: I just want you guys to know that this show does have some very bad episodes, but most of it is very good and some of the episodes are unforgettable.

But to be honest it never really came close to Buffy, one of the best written TV Shows ever...in my opinion of course

Buffy is my third favorite show (after Firefly). I like Buffy a lot but it comes of as too cutesy most of the time. Still, it is a great show.

I most certainly would. I'd buy Buffy, Angel, Firefly & X-Files (double dipping, even!) if they released it on Blu-Ray.

I'm catching the Angel series reruns on TNT right now in HD. Superior to DVD upconverting, by far.

Ooooohhhh...don`t get me started on Firefly, after Buffy my Fave TV Show... I wonder how such well written Shows get cancelled in the US so fast, they never gave it a chance to gain viewership... poor Joss Whedon!

i agree firefly would be great on blu-ray, but as much as I enjoyed Angel, I don't think I would buy it on bd. Cordelia was beyond hot though. Damn, she might have been why I kept watching. I think it does have a pretty big fanbase though, I mean how many seasons was it on 5, 6? It won't come out right away. Some tv shows are just coming out on dvd still, like Brisco County Jr. Now there's a show that I'd love to get on bd, that won't be out forever. Gots to get it on dvd for now...

I would buy Angel on Blu-ray, it was a good show. Although I never Like Buffy. I would like to see Firefly on Blu-ray too. I could list a good amount of TV show that I wouldn’t mind seeing on Blu-ray but Stargate SG-1 is my first choice.

BTW, if you don't already know Buffy Season 8 and Angel Season 6 are being done in comic book form by Joss Whedon. I never really liked comic books but this gets me my Angel and Buffy fix. They really are well written.

correct, so it wouldnt be to hard to do for FOX. To bad catalog titles arent big money makers.

Oh, hell yeah. Only season's 1-8 though, without Jack the show was never the same.

I have them all so far, i mean it`s the next best thing, to know what happened after that cliffhanger finale on Angel!

But still a shame that they couldn`t have another Season, Angel really got better when Spike came on board!

After hearing "I don't know about you, but I want to kill the dragon" and then the season ending... forever, I was a little upset. Okay, pissed.

Waiting for the trade of Season 6.

I would definitely buy it. Its a damn good show, and I liked it way better than Buffy (which I loved). Mostly because it had a much darker feel to the show than Buffy.

Absolutely. This is to me a pioneering show and the best written ever. The whole 24 theme where the story doesn't end in one or a to-be-continued episode was created by Joss Whedon in the second season of this show. Greatest show ever. <note the period.
