Flash Point Blu-ray Review

Flash Point [HK Blu-Ray]

I have not seen this film as yet and am wondering if anybody here has? The Blu-Ray is only Region 1. Excuse my silliness, but will this disc Play in CDN/US Players/PS3'S?

Also, if you have seen it, please let me know if you liked it. SPL was great and I hope this is on par or better.

I have seen this movie and I thought it was pretty good. I love the fight scenes and Donnie Yen is pretty cool in this film

I can't wait to see it on Blu-ray

It's a good movie, but not SPL good. From an old school action point it definitely hits the mark though. Just a suggestion...watch the dvd first before you invest in the Blu-ray version.

went for the blind buy, kinda felt i need to support HK BD's in order to see more titles from them. i already own the other title Infernal Affairs on BD. will prob keep importing them as long as it's not a widely known dud of a movie.

This is an incredible disc with reference quality PQ and AQ. The fight scenes are among the best I've seen. Sony should package this with every PS3 in Asia as it is tailor made for that demographic.

Good to hear as I was going to ask how the PQ was. I assumed the AQ would be good since it's 7.1 PCM & DTS-MA. As Donnie Eldridge said above, It's no SPL, but it's fun enough so I'll be replacing my dvd.

Martial arts action.. and this has tons!!!
if anyone has seen SPL... same style of movie!

unfortunately it was a standard DVD version...
and from the looks of the PQ may not have been an original.

so i went to HKFlix.com and OMG what did i find!!

Incorrect.

The HK release was reviewed November 30, 2008, seen here.

The US release was just reviewed, as the US release was just actually released on January 24, 2012.

Because this is a Well Go USA release and not from Dragon Dynasty. So either DD wanted a ot to license the commentary, didn't want to licnse it out or WGU didn't even wnt to try

I'm still confused about this... last I saw, Dragon Dynasty had the rights, unless they let them lapse. But even then, Well Go is using the artwork from the old Dragon Dynasty DVD.
