In celebration of it's 20th Anniversary, Disney is releasing on BD for the first time, Operation Dumbo Drop.



Exclusive rights for sale are to Disney Movie Club Members but surely other copies will go for an increased price on 3rd party sites.
[Meaning this will NOT be sold in stores at any time soon, regardless of what people claim otherwise on here ].

All in all, people average about 8-9 Disney (or Disney-owned) titles for anywhere from $78-90 depending on how it's planned out and what specials are happening.

This is such a RANDOM release!

Would have preferred another classic release - but hopefully this marks the beginning of them also releasing some more of the 1990s films too... maybe it means more releases more often. I would definitely welcome that.

(sounds pretty bad; but more to the point is why this one over like 100 other far better Disney live action classics that are yet to come out. reminds me of some of the weird choices Warner Archive has made--like Susan Slept Here--when they just have to know people are just begging for so many other films to come out)

20th anniversary??? It was released in 1995.

Also if they were going to release a 1990's Walt Disney Pictures release through the DMC, Cool Runnings or Mighty Ducks would've been a better choice since I'm going to guess at this point they'd never get a blu-ray release other wise.

A question about these Disney Club exclusive blu rays: Are they only Disney live action films that are exclusively movies for children, or do they also release Buena Vista and Touchstone movies?

I wouldn't say "movies for children", considering Walt was always adamant that he made movies for audiences not for children.

But anyway... So far, only films from the "Disney" catalog have been released. Mainly titles from the 1960s-70s so far, this one being the only 90s title so far.
