I love the minimal artwork design if they stick with it. Film was average.

It's interesting that Target is getting a steelbook. Normally Best Buy does.

They go back and forth, but Target has had fewer and fewer Steelbooks lately though.

Not sure on if I'll get this. I may be in the minority but I just thought this movie was so so. It felt more like a kids movie than a family movie. I wasn't overly impressed.

I personally thought there were select elements that worked but largely too much of it felt processed and pandering to the masses, unlike say Laika animated movies that throw caution to the wind, takes creative risks and sees what audiences will make of it. On the plus side "Pets" had strong visuals, great soundtrack from Desplat, and highly effective 3D

Cool, thanks for the tip.

I will get this, but only because my two boys (3 yr old & 6 yr old) loved it. I thought it was cute, but overall for a 34 yr old like me, it was just mildly entertaining. As someone else said, more childish and less of a whole family style movie.

Regardless, I will be getting it for them as they loved it!

I think the first ten minutes of it would make a great Pixar short subject, to be played before a Pixar full-length release. I don't think that the filmmakers came up with a full-length movie, however. My final verdict is that PETS is half of a good film.

We have not seen it yet, but we figured our son would enjoy it. I can usually get into any animated movie though. My concern is the $22.99 price tag for a 90-minute movie, but the steelbook is tempting.

I was wondering the same thing. Ice Age 5 is getting a UHD release and it tanked here In the US but this was a huge success and apparently isn't. It's weird considering Universal supports the format now.

Will probably be released at a later date along with some of Universal's other cgi animated movies.

This movie was below average at best. Such a wasted opportunity.

Completely disagree. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Germany is getting a 4k release so we probably will as well.

Any word on a release date? I have the Target steelbook preordered and I'm curious. Possibly before Thanksgiving?
