So I was finally able to get a high definition version of The Dark Knight trailer in WMV format. It will play on the PS3, but there is no audio. The problem isn't that it won't play the sound. It just says that there is no audio.
This is the audio codec it uses: Windows Media Audio 10 Professional 440 kbps, 96 kHz, 2 channel 24 bit (A/V) 1-pass CBR Is there a way for me to change the audio codec it uses? Any converter I try won't convert it or I have to pay for it. |

If I can remember. If you go to your settings menu. Scroll down untill it says WMV or WMA enable and turn it on. I'm guessing you might have done it already. P.S. I don't know if that popped up after the update or not. I just noticed it after the update

Unless you're running Yellow Dog, in which case, you can't access the 3d core anyway ![]() WMA 10 Profesional.. Hmm. You should be able to recode it, just it's not a pleasantly easy task. Personally, I'd end up using Nero Recode to try to do it, failing that I'd give up. [ add / edit ] WMA Pro support is very sparse. The only platforms really that support it are teh 360, Zune, and a handful of others. Almost no third parties support it on the hardware side of things, kinda frustrating. I don't believe the PS3 supports WMA Pro.

I do have some WMV's encoded with VC-1 and WMA8 that work. The others come with no sound, including my Star wars HD wmv's.
