Default Which movie best describes our times?

I'd have to go with Syriana (Starring George Clooney, Matt Damon, Jeffrey Wright & Christopher Plummer) an amazing movie regarding oil, politics, war on terror, etc.

A concentration span and a keen eye and ear is required as much of the plot is not explained for us.

The Directing is awesome, and thank God it's available on Blu-Ray.

I wouldn't say best describes our times, but the only movie coming to mind right now (it's pretty early) is Chain Reaction. Chain Reaction blows it out of proportion probably, but I would venture to guess that stuff like that does happen on much smaller scales now. It kind of reminded me of 'Who Killed the Electric Car?'

I'd say it depends on how old you are and your affiliations at the moment. Syriana for adults, Superbad for teenagers, The Departed for crime, and Office Space for work, lol

Probably the funniest movie I've ever seen.

That part in the first motel when Depp is hiding behind the TV is just too much. Best watched when tripping, lol.

Yeah, just saw that, got it thanks to BOGO. Only problem is, it is not realistic at all. People don't really talk like that, and you can't get away with murdering that many people, seriously.

Otherwise, I thought it was good

It depends a lot on who the "our" are. Gadjo Dilo certainly described a lot about post-Soviet era Eastern Europe, certainly in the 90's.

Going into the 2000's, that's hard to say, because 'our times' have not really yet been defined. Sometimes that takes hind-sight. But I'd certainly consider United 93 in the running.

Nothing describes our time. Our time is so screwed up - I would not even pay/sit or steal the movie equivalent of it.

I should have said Which Movie best describes "your" times, as in which movie best describes your times in your area. I'm in North America and I'm in The Finance-Political Sector so Syriana was my choice. Does not matter if your an adult, teenager, girl or guy, living in a 10 million dollar home or living in your mom's attic, post anything, there's some interesting movies so far.
