Hi guys, I did a search here for any threads on where to buy movies in Hong Kong and Korea and didn't see anything recent (just a few threads that are a few years old). I'm traveling to both countries in about a week, bought a larger suitcase to bring back a bunch of cool stuff and would like some suggestions on where to go!
Also looking for toys, cool shoe places and anything else you could imagine a nerd would like ![]() FYI I'll be in Seoul and Tsim Sha Tsui. |

Buying movies in Seoul is very difficult. There are not very much shops which sell dvds or blu-rays. I was there back in 2012 and was very disappointed. Finally I found some at a shopping mall in Busan(Sinsegae) and in the Yongsan Electronics Market in Seoul. But don't expect low prices.

I went to In's Point and the Sino center yes. Man oh man, was it fantastic. As for movies, I came across some local store near my hotel and spend $200 really fast!

If I were you, I would shop at an online HK store like http://www.buyoyo.com and just have them ship to your hotel in advance.
I've done that many times with different retailers from different countries. |

So I went to In's point as mentioned for the figures. Great prices there! Also stop by Hot Toys' "Secret Base". You can't buy much but its still worth going. Its like their showroom.
As for Blu-rays, I went to a local shop somewhere in Tsim Sha Tsui. I have the receipt so I'll find out what the store name is. As far as what I bought (from the photo above): King Arts Iron Man Mk42, Beast Kingdom Egg attack Iron Man Mk1, SH Figurarts Captain America and Ant man, Robocop, King Arts War Machine, Sega Kylo Ren. As far as Chinese movies: Police Story 1 and 3, A Chinese Ghost Story 1 and 2, The Protector (jackie chan HK edit), My Lucky Stars, Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars, Righting Wrongs, Yes! Madam, The Legend of Speed. Korea: Shaolin Soccer, Hateful 8, The Killer (all kimchi DVD) |

It was actually really depressing. I searched forever and walked about a gazillion miles to find them. They're in this building on the 15 floor or something. Its just an office building and no storefront. You can only buy online.
I happened to come across another DVD/Bluray place and bought from them. |
