Default "How To Hook Up Your Home Theater"

Starring Goofy.
I cant believe no one has said anything about this lately, if they did I missed it. Well, if you go see National Treasure 2, there is an AMAZING disney short starring the beloved disney character "Goofy" in which he decides to go Hi-def. Blu-ray is even mentioned. It is hilarious, I caught myself slapping my knee several times and constantly laughing out loud. It should touch base with any audio/video enthusiast. I dont know if it's online anywhere, but I hope they but it on the NT2 Bluray!

You can actually expect to see more of these. With Lasseter in charge of Disney animation now, one thing he's bringing back is the Disney animated short, so this is but the start of a whole series of these. He's doing other good things there in feature animation...one I'm bitter about, but let's not get into that.

I too knew this was going to happen, but was unaware it had already started. This is fantastic news and I'll be sure to check NT2 out ASAP. Thanks a million for the head's up.

While I also hope they put it on the Blu-ray version, if the format war is going on, having it on the DVD version would be nice too, just to get another mention of Blu-ray to people watching DVDs.

I was actually looking for this Short online to watch it again, it was so hilarious... I took my Godson to see NT2 and he had a real kick with the short prior to the movie, he said it reminded him of his Daddy.

I think these types of Shorts are perfect for the introduction and even setting the mood for the Feature Film.

I went to see NT2 w/ my brother and my dad at my Dad's request. The Pixar short was really spot on. I'm glad I went now, since I expected NT2 itself to be awful and to suffer the whole time. I did. I'm not sure what was worse, the dialogue, the plot or the acting. I'll wait for another shorts collection.

So true, I thought the Goofy cartoon at the beginning was better than the movie... what a complete predictable boring movie it was, IMO.

I found it amusing too, and I also thought it would have been great to mention aloud: "The following movie will NOT be released on HD-DVD. Sorry to those who got an HD-DVD player for Christmas."

They should have put Blu-Ray in the short more prominently. Hell, get the kids hooked, so the little tykes want their movies on "Boo-Way" (ah, how the little tykes say things...)

The Goofy hand drawn animation was great. NT2 was also a fun picture to see although it didn't measure up to the original, IMO. Still, it will be a future BD purchase for me.

Default Question about getting lossless sound through PS3

i have a ps3 that i use for blu rays and i'm trying to figure out how to tap into the lossless pcm tracks on most blu ray discs i've heard that you can't do this without running a hdmi cable to your receiver then to your tv. So i tried doing that and i only got video from my ps3 and no audio. Am i doing something wrong? my receiver is a pioneer vsx-917v any help would be awesome

thanks

Sticky: Home Theater Connections (Explained)
