average BD price going up? - Blu-ray Forum

anybody know why the average price of blu-ray discs have gone up by $4.00 on boxing day, HD DVD's have dropped by almost $8.00 on boxing day on amazon.com. doesn't make any sense. how do prices go up on boxing day? can anyone explain this to me please.

Hmmm, has to be another HD-DVD giveaway of some sort, they are NEVER ahead of BD unless they are giving stuff away.

That site is so misleading. The "average price" is the "average price" of the top 10 selling discs...

There is a HD-DVD bogo on amazon at the moment. But in general the price per disc is higher on HD-DVD. They are however giving away free players though.

They will make fine upscalers for your old DVD collection.
