Default What happened to the Laser Tv's?

They were announced at CES and they also had some working samples, and there was a stated release date Q4 07, and they are still not here. Anyone know what happened? because i was waiting for one to come out, especially since its supposedly going to weight half as much, use half the power,be half as deep, and cost half the price of plasmas.

Lets hope mitsubishi can pull this one off. Would upgrade in a second if they live up to the hype. Plus, RP manufacturers are dropping like flies, we need something to keep interest in this TV category alive.

I read the only reason they did not have the TV at CES last year is because it looked soo ugly, NOT the PQ, but the frame & case they used.

Actually... there were some issues with the laser light being so pure that they appeared harsh. They decided to blend the radio spectrum a bit to create a slightly softer red, green and blue.

I'm looking forward to these . . . mainly because I'm going to want something 70+ inches for my next set, so that pretty much leaves me with DLP and projectors, if I want something that's not $10,000+. I like my current DLP, but I'd at least like to have a couple options.
