Default According to Home Media magazine PS3 now profile 1.1

Is this true? On page 10 of
http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/ques...3007/index.php

It says the PS3 has a 1.1 profile update. Is this true?

Uh...yeah dude. There were a dozen or so threads on this when the update came a couple weeks back.

As of firmware version 2.10, the PS3 is now BD 1.1 capable.

Hehe, yeah, I love that fact. The HD boys boasted about it so much, and in the blink of an eye, the advantage flips back to our side.

Unless they sit down and lay out the realities of the current situation, a simple "what do you prefer" question is invalid.

What drives the mass market to spend a significant premium over DVD and then not care about any other factors?
