the only difference in the US 'Unrated' and the Theatrical, is that the US has two deleted scenes put back into it. And these deleted scenes are usually on the disc anyway.
Deleted scenes: -Nathan at store: "G'day" (0:36 min) -Kestie in bed with Nathan (1:39 min) -Cass down the well (3:42 min) |

Someone's asking about the region status of this disc https://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-mo...olf-creek.html
I reckon it's AB but there may be PAL content. Anyone else with a NTSC set up confirm/deny this? Playback on any PC of course. |

![]() So to be clear if you have a NTSC setup only (ie no multistandard settings) this disc will not even load no matter what you do. Here in Europe and Japan nearly all our standalone tech is multiformat (PAL/NTSC) and even in Canada there's a lot -but the USA is rather retarded when it comes to multi format kit. Lots out there you just need to look. It's a shame Optimum have f**** up but they're not the only company who do this. They're idiots as are the people who encode and produce their discs.. I can't comment on Playstation machines and maybe someone can test that. |

Scan of the UK cover:
![]() There's a different cover too which celebrates (LOL!) Optimum's 10th year anniversary. Not sure why anyone would want to celebrate 10 years of mostly lacklustre releases and shoddy disc production technology. The only celebration should be they're still in business and that's only thanks to them being bought by the largest debt-ridden company in the world (minus RBS), the French sewage treatment expert, Vivendi-Universal. Yes, bulk shit. |

If it's a US player and you read the above messages you'll see that its because the previews are in PAL which most US players will not support or be able to get past. If it's a UK player, then you shouldn't be having problems...

I've managed to get to the movie several times when there's PAL content by going via the chapter or title operation.
It should be possible but if the very start of the disc is PAL it may be difficult. Mind this will play on any Blu-ray computer -the problem is with your TV (and stupid disc producer). I will have a go later on with my Region A player and post back if I can find a workaround! ![]() |

OK, easy PAL workaround!
Pop the disc in and wait for the message. Press stop. Then I hit 1 on the keypad and on the Sony that brings up the "Title" section and it automatically goes to "Title 1" (which is the movie in this case -maybe different on other discs). You may need to press the "Resume" button then "Title" (if you have that button on your machine -the Sony doesn't). The film starts and all the popup menus work but of course if you want to watch the making of you will have problems as that's PAL. So, this lets you play the movie and changes options on the fly but if there's PAL content it's a no-go if you have a bog standard NTSC USA TV. I say USA because the vast majority of TVs outside the USA are multi-format (NTSC, PAL, SECAM). I have relatives in Canada and their TVs play PAL/SECAM too. I'm guessing that's due to France having SECAM for old video cassettes. Next time you buy a TV or Blu-ray player make sure it's multi-TV format (doesn't need to be multi-region but that's no good sometimes if it's not multi-format). I think it would be impossible to buy a TV in the UK, Europe, Japan, Asia or anywhere else I can think of that's not multi-format. TV systems http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadca...vision_systems Main problem here though is the disc producer is dumb. |
