Default E-mail from Disney regarding Pirates replacement

FYI, those trying to milk Disney by getting a free disc - you will need to ship them your old one before they send you a new one. More of a hassle for us, but at least people wont be ripping them off:

I wonder when they instated this?
All I had to do was call them and they shipped the disc to me within about 4 days. All they told me to do with my original was just destroy it.

I sent an e-mail on the 21st and still haven't received anything or gotten a response. Probably will have to e-mail them again or call them. Ugh.

It was bound to happen sooner than later. You have all those people that probably tried to exploit them to thank. I got my replacement without question, but that was early on; I held on to my old one just in case.

At the time, all you had to give them as "proof" was the title code # on the box--
That could easily be duplicated on the Net.

same here, i did not get any type of response, i was about to call them today but then i checked the mail and it was there!!.

Funny thing is that both discs look exactly identical in the sense that the numbers (serial or whatever it is) are the same!!, thank god didnt mix them!! lol

I didn't really give them any numbers .. just told them I had a defective disc, and they sent me a replacement. This was the most hassle free exchange I've ever had. But, I too saw this coming when people starting talking about trying to get a replacement disc without actually having this BD title or trying to ebay / sell the faulty disc.

I am glad I was able to enjoy such a wonderful and hassle free service and feel sorry for the folks that still have to go thru the exchange process. As usual, a select group of people has managed to ruin it for everyone else. Way to go guys!

Does anyone know if the current discs that are selling are the fixed ones? I haven't bought any of the POTC movies yet, I'd hate to buy em and have to send the first one back to get replaced.

Guarantee there were people just calling in and getting a free movie. Disney finally said, enough, lets get the old discs back and give the new discs.
