Default The End Has Come!!

Hey guys, as your aware, new line and warner just went exclusively blu, leaving only a handful of things left standing between blu-ray and total victory. Give me your predictions and thoughts on how long hd-dvd will take to die! (evil laugh)
GO BLU!

unless Microcrap does a very big move to hasten HD download adoption, three month should put an end to it
about HD download :
- it is sublect to download speed, who is not regular for everyone, so either they release "under quality" movies (5 Gb to 10 Gb) and it'll take a long time anyway and we have to get extra huge HDD (300 to 500 Gb to get 50 movies) which will cost a lot, or some revolutionary download systems comes like magic
- the major film companies have nothing to gain from it : we''l get a movie for about 5.00$ maybe so they'll get much less than a Blu-ray sold for 25.00$ ...
- in France, we can get a speed called 8 megas (8000 kb) but it often is more 2000 than anything, and it's usually quite expensive and depends from your distance to the server ... so 10 Gb should be around 3 hours ... just stupid

It's already dead as a viable format. There is nothing they can do to come back from this. It's only a matter of time now until all major studios are only releasing on Blu-ray.

im gonna go with this one:

When the paramount/dreamworks contract is up and they go neutral, (or exclusive to BD) the war will be over. As long as they still produce, people will still buy. The production has to stop before the war is officially over

meh, it's over, we all know what is the superior format, it just took a while for everybody to figure it out. And no, just because they make movies doesn't mean it'll be alive, sacd and dvd-a still make products, yet the formats are next to unknown. hd-dvd might not die quickly, it'll just be a long slow death starting now! (evil laugh again)

it is not gonna be another DVD audio or SACD type of format.

after Paramount contract, and Uni switch so Blu ONLY, too.

Who will be making contents for HD DVD??? MS and TOSHIBA, I doubt ANYONE WOULD BUY, unless MS mades their games and softwares on HD DVD, other than that, HD DVD is dead as dead can possiblely BE!!!

I'm happy to see BR in the lead, i've invested so much into it, but it doesn't mean HD-DVD is dead, just cause there is internet rumors of HD not having much to release in 08 doesn't mean it's true, that might be a false rumor so warner would of shown sympathy for em, only time will tell.

It is over, the nail is in the coffin, it is just not nailed in yet (Universal going neutral). It will still take a little time, but for all the Hd fan boys, who honestly don't think it is over...cmon, are you serious. Yes, it might take until the end of 08, but do you honestly think Universal and Paramount are really going to stay HD exclusive for long. As soon as they even go Neutral (which they will) the nail is in. All there is left now is false hope and the sad disappointment that you have all spent
$100's - $1,000's on a format that is soon going to be gone. Face the fact, it is over !!

Oh by the way, there is a new game system out.....the Atari 2600, check it out
