Default Bought Blu-ray player. I feel I am betraying HD DVD

I am new here

I just became purple. I just picked up the panny at BB

too many exclusive movies on blu ray. and the Warner thing. I can't hold out any longer.

I still support HD DVD.

Well you could not choose a better time to join!

Now that WB has announced they are going Blu-ray exclusive, as well as New Line, there will be more Blu-ray discs than ever. In fact, the writing is on the wall and in giant bold letters for HD DVD, it can no longer win against Blu-ray.

Welcome to the forums. Glad to have you here. Hope you can find all the help you need here.

LOL! Welcome to the Darkside! Betraying HD-DVD is always a good thing because they stink! And how can you regret betraying them when they're going downhill and won't exist in the future.

well I still need to keep the HD DVD for Uni and Paramount

I mean HD DVD does have some good movies. but with the Warner switch blu ray will have too many exclusive.

I am a big warner movies fan. I have no choice

I initially supported Blu-ray due to it's association with PS3 (before it even launched).

When I was ready to buy, HD-DVD was clearly the superior format.

I had 4-5 months with HD-DVD, but last Christmas (12 months back) it was clear the tide had turned and Blu-ray was at last fulfilling it's potential, so I switched back.

I would hope most owners chose their format due to industry support and superior quality, not some fanboy nonsence.

Some just needed a little more persuassion to make the switch.

This war isn't even about Superior versus Inferior product anymore.

It's all about enjoying the movies you want in HD now.

Which we all know at this point, Blu is where the movies are at.

Later this year or so, Blu will be all there is to hdm.

Why would you still support HD-DVD? What is there to support? It's not like a member of your family.

Put the HD-DVD unit down and step away from it. You do know the porn industry was backing HD-DVD, didn't you?

i still support hd dvd because some of my favorite movies are on it. I really want blu because of underworld and resident evil. But i still have my hd dvd because of the bourne series, doom, and transformers and such other titles. theres no harm in supporting both because i get exclusive titles from both as of right now

Those will also be on Blu-ray. So therefore, all you have to do is support one format. In the end, it's a win win. In this case, you did good in going Blu.
