For those who are considering buying it on the secondary market, its almost certain to be another candidate for eBay-based arbitrage much like the Saludos Amigos + The Three Caballeros was. For reference, that one release was selling at its peak for $45-$50, or basically double the DMC price.

As such, I agree with TheGeneral and highly recommend joining the DMC if you want both Parent Trap films. You can make them both your full-priced "fulfillment" titles and get a bunch of other Disney/Pixar/Marvel films in your initial enrollment package.

If signing up with the promos from the thread linked in the OP you only need 2 additional commitments after your enrollment order of at least 6 titles.
Of those you’ve listed that’d be 5 already right there of the necessary 6 it’d take (though you can have up to 7 in the starting order )

These 2 Parent Trap & the FF ones would all be commitments I paid full price as they’re too new to be enrollment titles. If you have enough titles to make up that 6-title enrollment order to begin with, plus the 2 commitments it’d be
$12.95 + (24.95 x 2) + 5.98 s/h +tax if applicable

The first posts in the deal thread gives a detailed breakdown of how it works

Yeah, maybe it's a generational thing but I always prefered the LL versions of this and Freaky Friday. Nice to see they're getting released somehow.

Even though I personally would't want it, I wonder if they'll ever release her Herbie movie. Maybe it and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen at the same time to get all the Lindsay Lohan Disney films out, unless you want to include her two TV movies that were also Disney...

I don't see it yet so I am guessing it hasn't gone live, just like Freaky Friday. My 9th film for my second membership continues to wait.

Both versions are enjoyable. Saw the Mills version first and so it's probably the preferred one but Lohan's Disney remakes were very solid as well.

Only the first movie and the remake are being released, not the sequel? The only way to get the sequel in the US is to buy the double feature dvd of The parent Trap and The Parent Trap 2.

Disney should just put the remake back in the vault and throw away the key

Count me in for both PTs. I thought the 1998 remake did a nice job in re telling the story from the 1961 original. Plenty of nods & homages to PT61 in PT98. Disney even brought one character from PT61 into PT98. The character Vicky played in both films by Joanna Barnes.

I'd like to add in the two Movie Hayley Mills DVD set as well to get the extras but the $32 price tag is a bit steep. Only way though to get PT86.

Awesome. I've been waiting on the original for quite some time and was very close to buying it on Vudu.

I have been waiting for the original Parent Trap ever since they started releasing these Disney Blu-ray exclusives! That has always been my favorite live action Disney movie.
