Thumbs up Avengers: Infinity War - Box Office Thread - NEW OPENING RECORD!

Total: $2,019,999,900

BOX OFFICE RECORDS

#4 All Time Domestic
#4 All Time Worldwide

Best 3 Day Worldwide $640 Million
Fastest to $1 Billion Worldwide
Best Saturday $83 Million
Best Sunday $69.2 Million
Fastest to $150 Million
Fastest to $200 Million
Fastest to $250 Million

Hey guys . We have done dedicated box office threads for some movies and this one deserves it.

Opening 4/27/18 and poised for a huge first weekend. The current Three Day Opening Weekend Record is held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens with $247 million. Infinity Wars has a chance to beat that imo .

I will be updating this thread with running totals and any box office records it may set.

200+ though I do not think it will be over 247. Either way, it's gonna be big.

I don't think Infinity War will beat TFA but rather come very close to it.

All of the studios are afraid of this box office TITAN . Nothing of box office value getting released the weekend before and it will not have competition for three weekends.

Everything already out will be in fumes, unless The Rock goes off.

The MCU fanboy in you had to take over and ruin a good thing Chaotic does around here. Nice one Mr. T

I think probably around $200 Million but I do know a lot of people who saw Black Panther but never saw any other Marvel movie so this may not be as big as Black Panther but hard to tell.

I think a lot of those casuals who enjoyed Black Panther will see Infinity War since it gives them a chance to see Wakanda and the characters again so soon. Even if they could care less about Thanos or the other Avengers.

Why so upset? Chaotic does a great job with the weekly box office thread . However, this will be an ongoing box office thread for Infinity Wars (a true blockbuster) where post#1 will be continuously updated . This has been done before.

Ant, I predict that Infinity Wars will make in its first domestic weekend as much as Justice League made in its entire run. Depending on reviews, it could challenge the domestic opening weekend record held by The Force Awakens.

What is your box office prediction?

Nothing but Deadpool and Solo in May. One of the worst lineups for May in sometime. I guess Ill be seeing Avengers over and over till DP2.

Only film that could affect Avengers, Deadpool 2 and Solo is Incredibles 2.

Ok. I think that all the records that it might or might not set will be shattered once Ava Duverney’s New Gods releases in a couple of years.

10 years in the making this will finally overtake star wars as the number 1 thing. Number 1 for everything all around based on Pre Order numbers for the weekend.
