Default Mac + PS3 Finally! (Hopefully)

OK for anyone with a Mac who wants to stream/share their computer with their PS3 (easily) here you go

http://www.nullriver.com/index/products/medialink

A bit buggy, but overall pretty good.

(Yeah i know there are other options, but this seems like it will be best/simplest)

I was waiting for this, I have used Connect360 for the Xbox and it worked flawlessly, so I have high hopes for this program.

Yeah its good, a bit buggy, but so simply. I think it only got released today so they should iron out the creases in the next few weeks.

PSPware by the same guys is also awesome.

I tried Connect360 about two years ago but could never seen to get it working. I think it's about time to make my PS3 a full blown media player though.

I have been waiting for this program. If it works as well as their 360 version I'm a happy camper!!

in your opinion...or anyone else if they have experience...is it worth the $20?

If in general it makes my 40 GB library of music/photos on my mac accessible on my ps3, its worth the money :-)

also, do you expect the company to support/update it?

thanks for the heads up, much appreciated! my last attempt to do this did not work.

So far yeah worth the $20. Its cut out like twice for me.

Nullriver are awesome. They will support it to the max and all of their software i've used is great.

But like i said its a bit buggy at the mo as its only been out for a day or so. Try the demo.

Not working for me. I cant get contents to list when I click a folder, also if I press the devices tab, system preferences freezes up.

Been using eyeconnect perfectly and already paid for it a while back, so might as well stick to it.

How does this work with multiple users - multiple installs per account only ... or does it have an option to run/broadast in a server/sytem mode and be tied to a single iTunes library?

thanks, I didn't see the demo version....definitely will just give that a try before I pay, but if it works I will for sure!

I saw on ps3 fanboy that ppl are having troubles with m4a and aac files. I think my library is mostly .mp4's so I might have the same issues I was experiencing earlier (ps3 tells me it is an unsupported format)

MP4's seem ok its AAC seem to be the trouble for me.

Yeah it does, but very sporadically, half are there half aren't. Think it has something to do with how its saved on iTunes

Unfortunately, without AAC support it renders the program is pretty useless to me. Hopefully, it's close to being done because it already seems nicer than the other two media servers I've tried, Twonky and Eyeconnect. Until then, it doesn't feel like it's worth $20.
