Just wondering if you guys think Warner Bros will re-release current Blu-rays and HD-DVD movies at higher bit-rates since they have gone exclusive? well, atleast down the road?
I mean I know all new WB releases will have higher bit-rates for Blu-ray now on or atleast after May. But will they take time to re-encode previously released high-def movies and give us better PQ and more features? I could also care less if WB sticks with VC-1 or moves to AVC as most debates/threads have shown that at high bitrates the PQ is virtually identical and is purely academic. At lower bitrates AVC holds better detail though. I'd love to see Harry potter Movies at 30-40mb/s bitrates in VC-1 or AVC. |
