I wanted this thread for awhile. Thanks for making it.

Hacksaw Ridge has the whole documentary on the UHD.

Is that documentary in 4K resolution or 1080p? That's whole point I made this topic about. The special features must be in 2160p.

Yeah, most Lionsgate discs have the special features carried over. But not in 4K, which is the point of this thread.

So the features for Pacific Rim Uprising are higher native res than the main feature?

I remember this Cliff guy who produced the Hacksaw Ridge doc in the UHD thread, maybe he can clarify what it is: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...&postcount=234

Yes. However I haven't seen the special features for my self, to judge the quality and don't know which camera was used for the special features.

If someone popups the 4K Blu-ray in, that should do it as well. But I think it's "just" 1080p.

Special features on Hacksaw are all in 1080p SDR.

I don't own it either. The review even says the deleted scenes are 2160p, but that would be a real trip if the deleted scenes were from a 4K DI and the main feature they were clipped from had a 2K DI. The cast/crew stuff with footage of the film mixed in are 4K DI's with mixed resolution elements then?

Looks like you need a new thread, Piet. 'List of UHDs that have special features in true 4K resolution' oughta do it.

Snark aside, perhaps some of our resident cappers could get a look at the bonus features on PR2 and do some comparisons? If they're not in actual 4K res (unlike, say, the deleted scenes on Crouching Tiger which are proper 4K) then upscaling them is rather pointless seeing as there's no HDR either, the stuff on PR2 is 2160p SDR 709. Some of the close-ups in the features do look pretty good though, like in the Shao featurette.

How are you going to do these people like that? It's not enough that they spent their money on the this abortion of a movie, but now you want them to relive the experience (even if it's just via the special features)?

It wasn't as good as the first film, but I still thought it was decent.
