A few quick questions about movies and membership

I recently joined here as a member but have not been able to make a new thread except for in this forum. How long do I have to be a member to be able to make new threads in other areas of the forum?

My other question is I heard that the movies that were exclusive to HD DVD such as Transformers will not be made into Blu-Ray when Paramount/Dreamworks goes to Blu Ray due to contracts. I have a hard time believing this but figured someone on here might know the for sure answer to that.

Welcome John. Transformers and all of the other Paramount titles that were scheduled for BD release before the pull-out happened, will be coming to a home theater near you when Paramount makes it official. Have fun here!

From what I gather - it's a 3 day period before you can go "outside".
