There's been a new 4K DCP of this film for a while. Wonder if this release will utilize that new 4K master.

If there’s anything new and substantial about this (new features, improved transfer, etc.) then I’m definitely in. Otherwise, easy pass.

So rare to see a studio catalog release this late in the game - much less a special edition. I hope this is a precursor to them finally releasing The Abyss and True Lies.

I personally hope it's just a repackage because I've already bought this twice - the DVD back when I was region-locked and then the Blu only a couple of years later once I got a new player. That'll about do me, TBH.

Knowing Fox it'll probably just be the same disc with a new slipcover and digital copy. Or include some swag like photos/flair.

I love this movie but if it doesn’t get a 4K release there is no point in me rebuying it.

This is one of the more meme'd comedies of the last twenty years. Plenty of great scenes and a movie that many of us probably watched way too much back in the day. That said, a new 4k scan or uhd would be awesome.

I seem to remember caps showing that the existing disc was a newer master compared to the HDTV broadcast. It is 4K on iTunes, looks good but not too different than the current disc.
