Default The Best Blu-Ray Player (Other Than PS3)

I own one of Samsung's first Blu-Ray players, it wont play some of the newer discs like sunshine, man on fire, live free or die hard, die hard, and others, i think it cause of the profile 1.1, i know ps3 is the best blu-ray player, but i own a 360, and i dont care to purchase a ps3, i want a perfect blu-ray player, with all i need to make everything work wonderfully, whick player should i look forward to in the future or is there one available now? Thanks to anyone that can help. sorry if im bringing up a subject thats been answered in alot of other threads

I traded a Samy 1400 for the Pany 30 now im thinking about trading my Pany 30 for a PS3 80 gig. is it even worth it? I do not currently have a gaming console, but the ps3 would primarily be used for watching movies.
my receiver will not accept bit streamed audio anyways so if the PS3 gets the DTS -MA firmware upgrade in the future I'd be styling as my denon 688 will take PCM quite nicely via optical cable/ coax cable

Panasonic BD30

I have had the Samsung 1000, Samsung 1400, PS3 and BD30. If you don't want the PS3, definitely get the Panny BD30

BD30....you can't go wrong.

It have no relation to Profile 1.1, Samsung Player just don't like BD+ and other Java Applet and even the CE can't keep up to them.

The BD30 is solid if you don't need Internal Decoding and Internet...

Definetely the Panasonic BD30, the fastest and best picture quality BD player I've tested!

I owned both the Sony BD S300 and Toshiba HD A3 which were way too slow.

Cool

The Panasonic BD30 now or the BD50 if you can wait 3-5 months. I gave my Samsung 1200 to someone I do not like just to aggravate him.

What about the picture quality of the units you describe as "way too slow". Are you saying that that the BD30 has better picture quality? I doubt it.

the BD30 has an outstanding PQ, one of the best, not sure about the others posted above but I have owned the Samsung 1000 and 1400, and the BD30 IMO is better than both. Although the 1400 is great, the 1000 was not

Wow I think every one here is forgetting about the Pioneer BDP-95FD! That unit has the ethernet port, and comes with the stellar Home Media Gallery, HDMI 1.3a, and Dolby TrueHD&DTS-HD Mster Audio Bitstream. The picture on it is fantastic, even better than my PS3, and it has been noted that it has the fastes load times for stand alone units last I time I checked. And its dead sexy looking!

Overall the Panny has a sharper picture and better black levels, and the standard DVD's looked better than the Toshiba.
