Wait is this connected to the movie HANNA and the cast of Killing is in this? Well explains why they added The Killing series on Amazon I guess no longer Netflix exclusive which makes sense.

Yeah, so is this a coincidence that the two leads from The Killing are in this? Or is it at the very least, loosely connected?

That seems very bizarre they would use the two leads for this though. It's almost as if they are hoping casual viewers would get confused and think it is a continuation... Either way, I'm still in!

It seems Amazon will premiere the 1st episode after the Super Bowl for 24 hours. Then the whole first season gets released in March.

Yeah I really loved the movie too. Always wanted a sequel. Doubt I'll watch this though. Without the same cast and director I'm out.

The movie version of Hanna was brilliant - quiet and unassuming until she turned her “kill mode” on and then lookout, you misjudged her!

But this tv show version of the character does not have that going on at all. She’s just another version of Quake from Agents of Shield here, or any of the teen mutants from The Gifted, or Nikita’s understudy in the most recent tv version of Nikita. Tough on the outside, tough on the inside, no contrast.

So, not liking the choices here.

I just finished the Pilot, it was pretty solid. But the main Problem was, if you know the movie, it shows nothing new

Watched the pilot last night, I really liked the tone & pacing. I have seen the film as well but I still would like to see the show.

I can understand it being very similar to the movie, at least in the first season. If Amazon plans on this having several seasons, it would almost have to go it's own way at some point.

Decided to wait until Amazon dropped all 8 episodes before I watch the Pilot. I'd rather not have to wait a month or so to watch another episode. I was definitely tempted though, since like others have said in here, I loved the movie.

I was unimpressed. Like a remake of the movie only not as good and the movie was no great shakes either. I will, however, give it a chance beyond the pilot.

love the show, but, am disappointed that Amazon Prime didn't give Hanna the same love they gave Jack Ryan as far as UHD/DV/ATMOS! I am the Father of a Daughter, I'm sad to see they (women/girls) didn't get equal tech billing vs another male led action based show on Amazon Prime. at least UHD/HDR, but, nothing. this show really deserves the tech upgrade, hope they do so next season.

and no, I don't want to hear shit about the budget, this is a big show for Prime, it premiered Super Bowl Night with episode one, so, it's no tiny show!

that said, the show is still amazing, I am up to the 3rd episode and I will watch that and probably episode 4 over the weekend.
