So excited to finally be getting this addition of the Beach Party movies. I already have Beach Blanket Bingo & Muscle Beach Party on bluray, this will make a wonderful addition and I can retire my DVD.

This should be a significant upgrade to the original non-anamorphic DVD. I really look forward to this.

I do have to add that, with three of the series movies on Blu-ray, it's a bit unfortunate that the original BEACH PARTY is MIA.

An MGM spokesperson has stated that there are HD materials for all of the Beach Party films.

I'm glad they're finally getting around to the beach movies including "How To Stuff A Wild Bikini". My only complaint though is that "Beach Blanket Bingo" is incomplete without "I'll Never Change Him" by Annette Funicello. It was part of the original release & belongs back in! I had this film on laserdisc, DVD & Blu-Ray & not one of them had Annette Funicello's song. That ain't right!

Was it in the original release?

It was filmed for the original release and I think it appears in a trailer.

But I always understood it was cut from the release prints allowing the song to be used in SKI PARTY. I'm not sure people would have actually seen this song in a theater showing of the movie.

When I watched the TV broadcast it was always in there. When "Beach Blanket Bingo" premiered in part of the US it was in the film. Before they premiered it to the rest of the US they cut it out.

Putting a lot of reports together, "I'll Never Change Him" was in the US theatrical version--for about a week. It was subsequently dropped and then re-tooled for Deborah Walley in SKI PARTY, complete with the same backing track that had been used for the Annette solo in BBB. Actually, the song was first offered to SKI PARTY guest star Lesley Gore, but she demurred.

A number of sources still claim that "I'll Never Change Him" did not appear in the theatrical release version, including an MGM spokesperson. However, some people have claimed that the song did appear in the earliest release prints.

When BBB came to cable television in the 1990's, "I'll Never Change Him" was added back to pad the running time. The sequence aired on channels like AMC in full-frame. However, widescreen prints on DVD and Blu-ray don't contain it.

To the best of my knowledge, the song has never appeared on CD.

That sounds like a great extra for a Signature edition. I could have sworn that a couple of years ago, Olive announced they were only going to release Signature editions. I obviously read that wrong or did they change their mind?

I hadn't heard this was out. Cool! Thanx for posting this! I'm always missing titles when they're released these days. Oblivious, I guess.

These Films are definitely some of my Guilty Pleasures - to my wife's curious chagrin.

The Pop tunes from these movies are nice but I dig Dick Dale and Donna Loren (who is a real sweetheart on FB. When I sorta found her there and Friended her - I didn't say a thing to her but she immediately spoke-up and messaged me. She saw that I worked in Comic Books and she asked if i had ever met her Dad who worked in Animation. Very sweet and assessable gal).

Dick and Donna are actually serious Talents. Unlike most of the Cast, Dick is an actual Surfer and a hell of a Guitar Player, and Donna's got one of those Balls-to-the-Wall Voices like Linda Ronstadt.

Anyone heard anything about Beach Party, Bikini Beach, Pajama Party and Ski Party (with Leslie Gore!!!)?

There's a couple of odd ones from different studios that are fun, mostly because of the Music: Beach Ball comes to mind. I'd like to get that in any format...
