Default Senator Home Entertainment goes Blu-ray Exclusive

Haven't seen this posted yet. This is mainly for the European Blu supporters:

http://http://www.dvd-forum.at/86/news_hd_medien.htm

I was over at the "other" site and it quickly got off topic. Could someone take a look at the site and translate?

Excellent! One of HD DVD's arguing points has been they still have the support of the smaller studios around the world, over 180 companies etc etc. Senator and Constantin have both dropped HD DVD this week.

They all add up.

Inevitable.

There's no stopping this. It's good news, of course, but if I were to open a bottle of champagne every time someone goes Blu-ray exclusive now, I'd be perpetually drunk.

The big turn is when Paramount and Universal jump ship. Any European company that is still on the HD DVD ship is lost at sea.

Default Germany's Senator Entertainment follows Constantin, goes Blu-ray only

If you were wondering just how long you'd have to wait until the next domino fell, wonder no more. Germany's own Senator Home Entertainment is reportedly following in the footsteps of Constantin Film AG and will stop supporting HD DVD. Notably, any films that were already scheduled to arrive on HD DVD will supposedly still ship, but after March 1, 2008, the studio will be supporting Blu-ray exclusively. Another one bites the dust, we suppose.

Another one down

Just make sure it's Blu Champagne!

Maybe we should start a Blu-holics Anonymous thread

Dang, if this keeps happening, who are the HD DVD supporters going to get all their import movies from? If they all drop support for HD DVD looks like they won't have that argument either.

Every little bit helps. Europe abandoning HDDVD is just the first of many dominoes. Good to hear
