Nice. But I prefer the upcoming 4K UHD though.

Another "double-dip" that I won't buy.

If they manage to impress, then I'll be buying. If just a minor upgrade then I'm okay with what I have.

Seems like a bizarre one to release unless they have a ton of new extras. An upcoming 4K disc would add a lot of competition for this.

Unless there's a copious collection of deleted scenes (like the ones with Gong Li), I'd probably pass.

Maybe this will be their first UHD release? Did no one think of that?

I already have the amazing Manta Lab steelbook, so I feel like as far as packaging goes, I'm set. And the current BD has terrific PQ/AQ, so there's no need for any kind of restoration. This needs to be a STACKED release for me to consider it.

Talk about a really random release. I bought the original BD for like five bucks not too long ago but I haven't watched it yet. The extras will be the the thing that makes or break this.

Uni isn’t going to give the UHD rights to the one Tarantino film they have. Besides if Arrow aren’t going to do an UHD for “Robocop” I don’t see one happening to IB.

Another Children of Men type release under the licence with Universal then, just a cash-in quickie with the same transfer (albeit a fresh encode) and some new extras. Meh. I'll have the 4K disc first please.

If it's another Waterworld scenario I'll be picking this up instead of the 4k.

Unless this has a different cut of the film, not interested.

Rewatched my Universal Blu earlier this summer when I found myself needing a Tarantino fix in anticipation of ONCE UPON A TIME...IN HOLLYWOOD; still looks and sounds terrific so I'm unlikely to bite here. I hadn't watched this in so long this may have been the first time I immediately recognized Lea Seydoux in that opening scene...and goddamn, Christoph Waltz is just glorious in this. The film is still an absolute blast to watch. I recall there were some complaints concerning the "disappearance" of several of the Basterds towards the end, but I like how Tarantino trusts the audience to figure out these guys have certainly taken some casualties over time without an explanation.

If Arrow really wants my money, they can release Paul Schrader's 1982 CAT PEOPLE with a new 4K scan of the OCN.

And always remember: You don't gotta be Stonewall Jackson to know you don't want to fight in a basement!
