Default Need help deciding whether or not to buy this Theater System

Well I love my HDTV and the Blu-ray movies that I currently own but from what I hear I'm missing out on A LOT by not having a sound system. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to surround sound but my father thinks I should get this.

I know these are speakers only and I still need to get a receiver but is this a good deal?

EDIT

What about these

Does brand matching in speakers and receivers matter?

You might do some checking to see if NHT is still doing OK as a business. I read somewhere (wish I could find the link) that NHT was having some trouble recently and reorganizing the company and product line. If this turns out to be false, the sorry to have rattled your cage.

You probably can't go wrong with either of those that you listed. I don't think brand matching matters much. As for a receiver, I'd recommend the Onkyo 705.

Not really, but you should always brand/series match your Fronts and Center channel.

Surrounds can be pretty much any speaker.

But, you should try to match ohm levels of the receiver and speakers. (example the Onkyo 605 is 6-8Ohm...so you would ideally want speakers in that 6-8ohm range)
