Default HELP! PS3 settings question

I have a 27' samsung CRT HDTV(1080i and 720p) and i was going through my ps3 settings last night trying to get the most optimum picture i could from my blu-ray movies and i stumbled across this RGB and Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr display thing. I have my PS3 through HDMI and i played a couple of movies and switched to see what was better and RGB actually looked a little better(maybe just my ignorance). so somebody please help. is the Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr with superwhite on better than RGB full/limited?

only certain tv's support superwhite.

with your set, leaving it on RGB is probably best.

The user's guide provides a few hints on when you should use or not use the options.

RGB Full will keep the PS3 from restricting the color values sent to your display. It really depends from TV to TV what what looks best. On my Sony, setting RGB to full enabled more vibrant colors, and eliminated that washed out look you often see in those awful PS3/360 comparison photos.

I don't remember what all of the other settings do though, but I think one or two of them only pertain to use of the component video cables, not HDMI.

No matter what setting you land on though, make sure you optimize your actual TV display settings after making the PS3 changes.

You should be able to adjust your RGB setting.Check your display setting on your Tv.

I have a Sony thats 720P 1080i and I don't have any RGb settings.I also have 1080p Xbr2 and that has an Rgb setting.

If you are hook up by HDMI cable which you stated that you did, in the original set up the PS3 should be set at the max to what your Tv can handle.

I always put the tv on game mode, and it seems to think the picture looks better with the contrast setting on 92(thats out of a 100). Maybe i'll fiddle with it tonight.
