Question ps3 and sony dg910 settings

i just got a sony str-dg910 setup and have it connected via hdmi. but cant figure out how to get true HD dolby.
i did sound, BD/dvd settings on ps3 but theres loads of the like 2.1 pcm,5.1 pcm and 7.1pcm loads of variations of them.
so can someone tell me wich ones shold i be ticking.
am totally confused what to do,

you should let the PS3 select those settings "Automatically" ...it can determine what the receiver is capable of.

As far as getting Dolby TrueHD, you must set the PS3 HDMI Audio output to Linear PCM. It will display as "Multichannel" on the receiver.

(hit the "display" button on the BD remote...it will show the audio format being played)

i get the blue light to show its Multichannel, but i got told to put a tick in all of them
wen i ticked them all it shows 7 speakers plus sub on front panel, which is strange as i aint got 7 speakers connected,lol

your receiver can handle 7.1 ...but it is up to you to turn them off in the receiver settings.

again, let the PS3 automatically select the settings for you...the 910 may be able to handle each check, but let the ps3 decide.

ok, if i seletc automatic sound settings i dont get multichannel light on and only plays back in 2.1.
if i select all. i get blue multichannel light and 5,1 showin on amp(speakers)

hmmm...

maybe the PS3 and 910 arent playing well together.

but I guess its ok if you select all, I believe it can handle it.

i got it
i clicked them all, put blu ray on, and check what sound and it says true HD DD
