what you'll realize once you deal with more people like this (and not just with HD DVD/Blu-ray) is that some people know the facts, they just choose to ignore them. You can't reason with people like this, so there is no point to even try and "educate" them.

I find it amazing that despite all the scholastic and engineering achievements humanity has made over the centuries that the world is still full of fools that defy logic. I think maybe you could have softened the language so as to not directly attack their egos because you did come across a bit blunt. Regardless, even if you did that they would still continue to pursue that dead dream.

In any case, ようこそ! Welcome to Blu-ray.com. ^^

I don't think your facts are wrong. I'm saying that some people choose to ignore facts for reasons not relating to logic. Say they had a bad experience with sony, they own an Xbox HD DVD add-on, they prematurely spent a lot of money on HD DVD movies.

Some people don't have the ability to self-reflect and realize the things they do wrong, so they get deeper and deeper into this web of disillusion which they have created. That's not your problem, so there is no need to "educate" them.

Can someone please tell me what this guy is going on about on my HIDEFDIGEST thread.

I will ask the mods to make a sticky about the off-streaming capabilities of both formats. I don't really have the power to talk about it now (was a hard day and I'm near going offline.)

I'd just like to say following: Blu-Ray doesn't have 50GB of fully usable space and not even far more than HD-DVD or any other 30GB format (except the ones with the same Off-Streaming problems of course.)
Is there something i should know if anyone know of any streaming issues with blu-ray could they tell me or post a link looked in google... and im not even being sarcastic here lol

No, Some time ago some people working for HD DVD companies started BS that yields on BD where terrible and in order to help the yields BD50's where not 50GB but where less then that. Even though almost immediately after some BD examples where given where the disk was as full as it could (and so if it was a real issue those disks would not exist) the HD DVD fanboys decided to believe it.

You can't win that battle with logic if they refuse to listen to it and rationalize. I would say you should stop expending your energy there, it's a waste of time and energy on a bunch of thankless and narrow-minded individuals.
