Sword of the Valiant is one of my most wanted titles on Blu. I enjoyed it all lot.

The best of what's missing is most definitely THE HILL.

Connery doesn't have much to do in ACTION OF THE TIGER but I've been enjoying it.

What a difference it would have made -- dramatically -- if young Connery had swapped
roles with older star Van Johnson. There would be some real chemistry between Martine
Carol (whose nude scene is like 15 years ahead of its time) and Connery. The film would
not have disappeared for fifty years.

Connery was indeed the first modern film star, with a modern appeal (both for women and men). Van Johnson is that kind of boring, clean cut American "star" that makes you wonder if audiences actually liked them or they merely took what was being offered to them.

Not only audiences, but poor actresses were forced to appear attracted to these types as well. On the other hand, actors were never paired with dull, unattractive women. Almost 60 years after Dr No, younger audiences can still see why Connery was so unique (I'm not speculating, I've discussed it with younger people).

Never Say Never Again has been OOP for years and as I've recall, it wasn't a very good movie. Never Say Never Again is a remake of Thunderball.

I suppose this is finally a great opportunity to finally pick up The Wind and the Lion. I remember it being an all around fun adventure film with some great action!
