Default STAY AWAY from Bram Stoker's Dracula!!!

i picked this up as a blind buy, after having putting off seeing it forever and wow, holy crap this was a crummy movie and even more so a horrific transfer. there were a small handful of scenes where it looked like an HD transfer should, but most of the colors bled and it looked like a small resolution video on my computer blown up to full screen at times, how everything was blended together, kind of in a cloudy/hazy kind of way. i've never seen this movie before so perhaps that's how it originally looked at time, but man did it not translate well. what a great cast, historical character and director put to waste. oh and btw, it was on a Samsung 61" DLP 1080p, with what i assume is the proper resolution/HD settings, as i haven't experienced problems with any other BRD yet. lesson: search these boards before blind buying no matter the price.

i have to agree with this one....I was very disappointed in the transfer. Any more grain and a cow would eat my TV

If you'd done a search, you would have found extensive threads on this film, including explanations that you're seeing exactly what Coppola wanted you to see.
