Guitar Hero 3 question

Hello everybody..i have a quick question to ask. I have a 60g playstation 3 and i also bought guitar hero 3 for ps3. Now if i buy any of the other guitar heros for ps2 will the guitar for the guitar hero 3 for ps3 work for the playstation 2 guitar hero?

Im pretty sure if you are playing GH2 on the PS3 your ps3 guitar will work. Im sure someone else knows for certain tho.

Sort of. You can using an adapter but it doesn't have full 100 percent functionality. GH1 will work, but when playing GH2 with the adapter it loses some functions like whammying, and hammer on's and pull off's.

i played rock band today and i was not impressed i didn't like the guitar playing at all very much less challenging. i just went out and bought a another guitar hero three just for the second guitar and im going to sell the game on ebay.

Well thats because Rock Band isn't Guitar Hero. It was made by the makers of the first three GH's (counting Rocks the 80's) and is meant to be played with large groups of friends. So if you are a person with no friends and are uber competitive, then yes, GH3 is for you. JK.

I'm tired of 10,000 posts like this. Rock band, especially at $170, is not for everyone. Let's keep the GH3 threads about GH3. If you want to rave about rock band, start a new thread, don't hijack this one.

I played Rock Band, and got bored quickly. I happen to like the sadistic Expert note charts GH3 has to offer. And shame on Activision & Harmonix for not working out the guitar intercompatibility issues.

For the TC, I suggest you stick to playing GH1 and GH2 on PS2. As mentioned, the PS2 guitars cannot be made fully compatible with the PS3, nor can the GH3 guitar be used for PS2 GHs.

Standalone guitars should be available this month or next. Pray they are bluetooth!

GH3 controller DOES NOT work with GH2 or GH from the PS2. They are supposed to release a patch, just like the one for rock band, but im guessing this will never happen...
