over half of last weeks reviews for HD DVD were imports. lol. looks like they are running out of flicks to review for HD DVD.

I noticed that as well. For me, it just proves they were (still are) biased to the Red side. It appears they did not want the home page to show all Blu-ray reviews.

I dont take it that way. I just see it as more and more red people are gonna turn to imports for some stuff, they are just serving their customers with reviews.

The import pipeline will be drying up though as more of the studios in Europe switch to Blu-ray only.

I wonder what they are going to do for the next few weeks with almost zero new HD DVD releases?

dragon, i want your best estimate on how many hd dvd owners imported perfume.

i bet the numbers wern't even in triple figures, so why are they reviewing movies that not even 100 people are buying. its total biased bs out of hdd.

I dont know, I dont have the numbers, nor have i ever even heard of the movie. Im just saying maybe its stuff they talk about on their HDD forums, i have no idea. If you find the site so biased, dont go there. Why go to a site you hate?

i find their smackdown forum to be quite entertaining and they are fairly quick with their news and beat blu-ray.com to it often.

trust me, perfume is nothing that is being discussed on the HDD forums.

Well personally i go to the site to check out the reviews. If its not a movie on a format i dont own, i dont even look at it. Who cares? Also, maybe the owners of the site do prefer HD-DVD, I didnt realize that was a crime. This site is obviously BD biased (duh), so why cant another site have their own opinion?

OMG! But that is like helping out the evil Microsoft who wants downloads and the evil Toshiba!!! Not to mention the evil Universal studios

Seriously though, HDD is probably the most balanced site on the net for both formats. Obviously a site named Blu-Ray is going to have hardcore members who disagree.

I own that movie on DVD and it is a very good movie. So dont bash it :P

However I do agree with you. Just about any domestic release will sell more copies here than those 5 imports will. People simply dont import that much, especially when atleast 2 of those movies are available domestically on BD. Its their attempt to make things look equal.

never bashed it, just never heard of it. and i would assume the majority of hd dvd owners probably never have too, and those who have may not want to go to the hassle of importing something.

What a load of crap. What's the "In the Spotlight" review right now on their main page? Good Luck Chuck on Blu-ray. And 5 out of the 8 reviews on the top-right of their page are Blu-ray's. HDD is the best Blu-ray review site on the Internet, period.

It could also be that Perfume was a movie that the REVIEWER liked and thought he should review it so more people become aware of it. Thats not a bad thing.

Believe it or not this title was discussed on this forum, and is available on Blu Ray in europe.

Seems like some people were interested in it and even considered importing (but may be region coded).

It's not a title that is going to appeal to the masses, but I watched in HD on Cable (very nice PQ) and I enjoyed it.

Yeah, its pretty pathetic. I have no doubt in my mind that they review these titles to prop up the illusion the HD-DVD is releasing just as many titles as Blu-Ray. How many Blu-Ray imports have they reviewed? Oh wait:

Blu-Ray: 4
HD-DVD: 18

Thats not counting the 13 "re-issues" (which is the same exact movie that was released before only not on a combo disc). Why "re-issues" need to be reviewed is beyond me. It's the same exact encode with the same exact specs only there is no dvd on the other side of the disc.
