7.1 pcm audio - Blu-ray Forum

my reciever is only set up for 5.1, if i play a film with 7.1 pcm will i still hear 5.1 pcm just some of the sounds will be going to same speakers that would of gone to the other two speakers?

I may be wrong, but i think you will only get PCM 5.1 while the sounds coming from the 7.1 signal, is simply not in the 5.1 track at all..

Make sure you set up your player as 5.1 and it should fold any rear surround channels into the main surrounds
