I just tried to edit my signature to update the amount of Blu-ray Discs I have from 20 to 23, and it now tells me that I can only have five lines of text, and that I have too many. I easily had ten lines before, and would like to keep my signature length. Why is it doing this now?
I tried making my signature small in size and not distracting in color and boldness when I first signed up on the forums. I don't think I should be restricted from having ten lines in my signature. Just look at it, it's really fairly sized. *Shrug* |

While I understand the impulse for monster sized signatures I generally think the smaller the better for readability. If anything I would add a rule that only smaller fonts are allowed in the signature. It's much tougher to visually skip the signature when its font is as big as the main text itself.

It's sad that a moderator will not even reply to this thread.
I wanted to edit my signature, it only had 3 lines of text stacked on top of each other to begin with. The problem is, it had a lot of coding, because I was having fun with different font colors, plus bold and italics. So, with more code, it made my signature "5 Lines", even though it wasn't. Ridiculous stuff going on here. I squeezed every bit I could out of it, but this is not how you handle a problem. You send offenders with large signatures a PM, tell them to please edit their signature, and give them a week to do so. Don't go messing with people's accounts without notice, or instituting a forum rule of 5 lines or less without warning people. Mishandled is what I'd call it. God, after reading what I just wrote, I realized how silly it all sounds... people, it is just a box of text on a website. How are we getting so worked up about it? |

Apologies if I missed the earlier discussion on this, but was there some other problem with users putting images in signatures (maybe bandwidth or ?)
I wanted to put in my personal & team FAH stats as an image, which is free from Extreme Overclocking.com http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/?nav=IMAGES but when I tried to add it, I realized this forum restricts using images in our signatures. Thought it would have been cool if I could use this: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.c...00CC&c5=FFFFFF |
