Do the Right Thing 4K steelbook is a dollar more on Target as well. It's not so strange.

Great!

I did not like Discovery + Picard but haven't seen this yet.
I guess I'll buy.

How are the chances that I like this if I like Star Trek (TOS, TNG, DS9 + ENT) and Rick and Morty?

I never thought a day would come when I would walk away from anything with the words STAR TREK in its title. That’s why you should never say never.

The first episodes are a little rough but the later episodes and especially the finale are great. Highly recommended to everybody, but especially Trek fans as their are so many references and in jokes about Trek that are just spot on.

I sat on this show. Expected it to be pure shit. After I finished Discovery I figured ah what the hell, I would give it a chance. Turns out the show is awesome and filled with heart. I would encourage folks to at least give it a fair shake rather then write it off like I originally did. Show is legit good.

For me, it’s less about being convinced it’s completely shit so much as what it’s allegedly good about (self-reflexive comedy) is not what I personally seek from my TREK experience. I want STAR TREK to be STAR TREK, not about STAR TREK.

Most likely a lot. The first few episodes are a bit much in terms of frantic fastball humor, but it evens out and there is no denying that these writers are massive, massive Trek fans.

This show was hands down the most Star Trek show of the three new Star Trek shows that have recently launched. Yes, it does a lot of callbacks, but it’s from a place of the characters being aware that they are part of something bigger than themselves and being proud of that legacy.

I haven’t bothered buying much Trek on physical media lately but I might make an exception for this one.

Most fun new Trek show by leaps and bounds, and it really has the heart and soul of Trek.

Such a good show, and it's VERY Star Trek.

I'm all over this once it gets an international release - which I would guess may be quite a long way away. Picard's blu-ray still isn't out here until next week, so it looks like they waited a full year since the Amazon broadcast before releasing. If they do the same for Lower Decks it could be January 2022 before we get it.

Looks like May 18, 2021 for the steelbook - and the year 2099 for the regular case.

I’ve only seen the free premiere episode but that was enough to convince me that it was in the best Trek spirit. Albeit on speed.
