Default Dumb Panasonic audio question.

How do I get uncompressed audio out of the panasonic? On "Gone in 60 seconds" I select uncompressed audio and my receiver switches over to LPCM but only is only showing 2 channels active and I hear no audio at all. I am using the optical audio out on the panasonic.

Thank you

Optical can only handle stereo PCM. You need to either use HDMI or analog cables to get PCM to your receiver.

Something to be aware of with the Panasonic.

If you have audio out enabled on the HDMI, the audio will default to whatever the HDMI is connected to.

In my case the TV was stereo so it limited the 8 channel analog to stereo also.

So, if you are using HDMI be sure to turn the audio on HDMI off and then your 6,7,8 channel audio will appear on the analogues.

It is in the manual if you look carefully - had me baffled for a while.

Cheers!
