I am really getting sick of this, like is there any point on why Para and Uni won't go blu? Why? This has been going on long enough and the people who want to see your brilliant movies are not on the better format. We want to see Spielberg movies and yet, we can't have them yet because Para and Uni are so damn ignorant and insulting on their choices. Para has that escape clause unlocked and Uni don't even have a contract, so I see no reason that they shouldn't join the blu crew. If anyone has any reason why both studio's are backing the wrong horse, let me know.

Thank you, I needed that. If Kornblau doesn't go blu, I'm going over to the "U" and I'll eat his heart, as I made a vow not to see any more movies from the "U" until they go at least netural, although it would be better if they went blu exclusive.

I think the reason is a legal obligation and threat of litigation.
Just the same, I bet they're both making their preparations for purple. I imagine there's way too much politics to go entirely Blu. At least for the near future. |

they are just plain embarrased.
what they said when they switch to red: after extensive study, we believe HD DVD is the best for customer and a smart choice for paramount. SMART choice????? are you joking? will you said that again, para? |

Thing is,...Neither of them was very into HD releases like WB is. Both Paramount and Universal are dragging thier feet a bit and putting out mostly lackluster releases that compare too well with upconverted DVD.
I bet Paramount will get back in the game soon and dump HD DVD,.. They seemed at lease somewhat committed to trying to get into HD Media. -Brian |

IIRC, both studios are still obligated contractually to hd-dead. The time limit still has many months left for both studios. It's only been a short time since Warner's switch. Patience, grasshopper. |
