Always nice to see more Batman on UHD (and I think this is one of the most underappreciated animated Batflicks), but Warner, darlings... why are you sleeping on Mask of the Phantasm????

Especially since iirc the DC animated stuff on UHD has been pretty lackluster, and that would prove especially true of a film that was never intended to be released in the format. My only guess is that WAC only did a 2K scan of Mask of the Phantasm (which was their usual procedure at the time), and WB doesn't want to redo it in 4K for cost reasons.

I'd be sleeping on it too, because it looks good enough. The 4:3 version, I mean. Why would I even look at the widescreen version? Besides, if they were gonna do it, then SubZero should be done too, and how many people would even buy that on its own?

I'm thinking it could still happen for its 30th anniversary. Transformers The Movie sold well, and that was the MotP of the 80s.

Oh, wow. This is one of the absolute best DC animated films and one of my favorites. In fact, I just rewatched it a few days ago. I'll definitely be getting this.

Here's hoping they include the Catwoman short from the original release as well.

The Dark Knight Returns and Under the Red Hood are the two I really want them to upgrade to 4K UHD.

On the topic of "Commemorative Editions", I'd hope they'll release The Batman (2004) series by now. By far not the best series, but still unique enough to enjoy.
