Default so i was browsing amazon...

sorry to beat a dead horse if this has been already observed.

I just noticed that Lord of the Rings is now blue ray exclusive. I understand that New line is blue ray exclusive but amazon always had the title under both formats. And there was rumors that the trilogy would still be put out on both formats....

I guess not.

Yep, just Blu-ray. Probably not for a few years though.

Amazon has placeholder pages for many titles. Don't read anything into it until an official announcement.

As far as New Line, they are completely blu-ray exclusive. Their only dual-format release was Pan's Labyrinth and it is also their last.
